ROCHESTER, MINN. ­ With family, friends and supporters at his side, Duane Sauke formally announced today his candidacy for Minnesota House District 25B seat.

In his announcement at the Rochester City and Olmsted County Government Building, Sauke described his campaign for office and his vision for diversity of culture and thought in speaking and sharing ideas with the neighbors of District 25B focusing on what everyone is most concerned about.

“I am one of you; one of your neighbors,” said Sauke. “I believe that my life’s experiences,my professional expertise, my abilities and skills have prepared me to lead, while my post­partisan political philosophy and understanding of the issues uniquely qualify me to be an authentic representative of the neighbors in District 25B.”

“My entire life, from son of a share crop farmer to educator, business owner and community servant has positioned me as the best candidate for MN House of Representatives in 2016,” Sauke states, “I am ready to go to work for all of us.”

“We are gathered together to invite a discussion about how to live life together,” said Sauke “fulfill hopes of prosperity for our community, benefit from opportunity, ensure equal social and economic treatment, and protect our environment. To fulfill our hopes with the removal of barriers to participation and enlighten and enhance pathways for each person’s life attainment”

Sauke is excited to expand his campaign as he reaches out across the district to like­-minded citizens searching for strong and inspirational servant leadership for District 25B.

Duane Sauke grew up on a farm, served as a music teacher in public schools, is a retired local business owner/REALTOR, and an active member of the Rochester community in leadership roles. Duane lives in Viking Hills Neighborhood with Debra, his wife of 43years. Their two grown children live in Red Wing, MN and Saint Charles, MN with their families. Duane and Debra are active members of their Church in Rochester where he serves as the choir director.
